“WHAT
THE WORLD CALLS FOOLISH, I AM RESTING MY SALVATION ON!” As
Billy Graham spoke these words, my thoughts moved to how unsaved
people move through this world and choose to pay attention to the
claims of people in our every day lives. They of the world pay attention
to the foolishness of the world. God says, “Thou fool!”
Billy Graham also spoke that God knew us before we were born. He
has a design and purpose for each of our lives. He provides us with
the Holy Spirit as our helper each day as we continue the steps
to fulfillment of His purpose. The Holy Spirit lives within us to
guide us and deliver us from the things of the world that draws
us away from God and our purpose. In obedience to God, we step out
in faith and make decisions based on help from the spirit within
us…the Holy Spirit. It is our gift from God.
Gifts uplift you! They make you feel good. They empower you, sometimes
deliver you and show you that God’s love is true and by His
hand, he guides us to further His purpose. As we get older, we allow
life to wither us and it gets worse gradually. Like the man with
the withered hand, he could not hold on to his dreams. He developed
a mindset. When we are in obedience to God, we “re-develop”
our mindset because we are allowing God to control it. We thank
God for the gifts. Not only the gifts to the ministry guided by
God’s obedience, but for the Holy Spirit gift that guide us
every day.
Isaiah 50:7 says God is here to help us and HE IS UNLIMITED! Our
ministry was specially gifted last month as our prayers were answered
allowing us to move forward in our purpose of saving more lives
to Christ. We especially are thankful for this generous giving in
obedience to our Lord.
As the Board of Directors moves into 2008, we accept these gifts
of love, faith and guidance with a commitment of growth in the Lord.
We are making small but mighty changes to enhance development. Through
communication skills, attention to details, and a commitment to
growth, we are taking a non-passive attitude to being directly linked
with the everyday operations and accomplishments of our ministry.
These are gifts from our directors in growing Hebron Colony Ministry.
The Santee and Boone facilities are in continual need of attention,
prayer and gifts which our supporters provide with utmost love.
God Bless You in 2008.
With our prayers,
Jann Connor, President
